Our induction training is one of the most comprehensive carer training programmes in England, recognised by our Princess Royal Training Award.

Our vetting, suitability checks, and training process go far beyond those required by regulation. Only 1% of applicants pass our full recruitment and assessment process, providing carers you can trust and complete peace of mind.

Christies Carer Training

All carers and office team members complete our full training programme, ensuring everyone involved in your care understands what outstanding support looks and feels like.

6 days blended learning, including 1 day virtual training, followed by 5 days practical training.
Accredited and recognised by Continuing Professional Development (CPD) standards.
Over £250,000 invested into our carer training annually.
In addition to core competencies, our carers receive advanced specialist training in dementia, palliative and end-of-life care, learning disabilities, and autism.

Continual Development

Once placed, carers complete guided e-learning to earn their Care Certificates, ensuring each carer is proven to deliver safe, person-centred care in real care settings.
External advanced training courses, including Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disabilities and Autism, is encouraged, empowering carers to confidently support complex care needs.
Our carers have ongoing access to advice, guidance, and mentorship from our training and care management team, available whenever help is needed.
All carers complete a mandatory two-day refresher course each year, ensuring all skills are up-to-date and the highest standards of care and safety is maintained.

Applicants undergo thorough interviews to evaluate their skills, values, and suitability for care work.

Additional Health assessments confirm all applicants are physically and mentally prepared for the demands of the role.

Enhanced Background Checks

To guarantee safety and compliance, we carry out comprehensive background checks, including:

Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Checks, Reference checks, and Identity and Right to Work verification.

Matching our clients and carers

When matching carers with clients, we take great care to ensure it’s the right fit. We consider the carer’s skills, experience, and personality, alongside the client’s care needs, wishes, lifestyle, and interests.

This thoughtful approach helps build strong, trusting relationships, so clients not only feel safe and well-supported, but also genuinely enjoy the company of the person caring for them. We carefully build carer rotations for each client, aiming to use a small, consistent team wherever possible.
