Live-in care
when you need a bit more help
If you need someone there all the time, whether to help you as you recover after being in hospital or having been ill; to look after you while a family member has a holiday; or for the long term so that you can stay at home for the rest of your life; live-in carers from Christies Care are the answer.
Live-in care is generally cheaper than care homes. In terms of value for money; live-in care is better as you have 1:1 care whenever you need, giving you the flexibility and freedom to be as independent as possible.
Hourly visiting care
when you need just a little bit of help
Often, as time goes by, people find they need some assistance to stay independently at home. Maybe a couple of hours a day, just to help with getting up and going to bed, for example.
Christies Care doesn’t do this kind of hourly visiting care in Jersey, but we have a close relationship with Karen’s Carers; a very good hourly visiting care agency based in Jersey. Over the years we have shared clients and fully understand how each other works. Karen’s Carers is led by Karen Smith, who has over 30 years’ experience in care.
Providing the best care
In England, Christies Care is rated as Outstanding by the Care Quality Commission; one of only 5% of all care organisations to have that rating. One reason for reaching this level is our extremely effective recruitment and carer selection process. Christies Care makes sure only the best carers are recruited (only 1% of all applicants get through) and its recruitment team is so effective that even with a national recruitment crisis, Christies always has enough great carers.
In Jersey, Christies Care is registered and regulated by the Jersey Care Commission and has had clients on the island, on and off, since 2011.
