Community Impact at Christies Care

Making life better for everyone

We believe that our responsibility goes beyond only supporting our clients and carers. As a Suffolk-based company, we are proud to contribute to the wider community we serve, championing local initiatives, promoting inclusion, and raising awareness for causes that matter. Here’s how we’re making a difference.

What we do in our community

Every part of our work in the community is driven by the same belief that guides our care: people matter. Whether we’re raising money in the office, supporting a local event, or connecting a client or carer with a local resource, we’re committed to making life better for everyone we meet.

Charity Champions

Our in-office Charity Champions team is the heart of our fundraising efforts, organising a wide range of charity events and awareness campaigns throughout the year, from bake sales and raffles to sponsored walks and themed office days.

These initiatives bring our team together for a good cause and help raise vital funds for local and national charities.

Community Engagement

Christies Care’s dedicated Community Engagement Officers, Matt Gunns and Juliette Pawsey work directly with people and organisations across Suffolk and North Essex.

Their role is to build strong relationships with local groups, signpost people to support services, and help grow networks of care and to make sure no one feels alone.

Charity of the Year

Each year, we choose one charity to support with a financial donation to help them continue their vital work.

In 2025, we are proud to support the Rural Coffee Caravan, a Suffolk-based organisation bringing connection, conversation and community to isolated rural areas.

Christies Care has donated £750 towards their running costs and regularly supports their events in local villages.

Suffolk Services Directory

To make life easier for our clients and their families, we’ve created a free Local Suffolk Services Directory, featuring small, trusted businesses and community organisations that we know well and complement the care we provide.

From home adaptation companies, gardeners, and exercise classes to dementia support groups and wellbeing services, we only list services we would recommend to our own families, ensuring peace of mind and quality for those we support.
