Our Local Area Managers are the people who ensure we get your or your loved one’s care right.
While our HQ is based in Saxmundham, Suffolk, our Local Area Managers live in your community, know your area, and are there to meet you face-to-face.
Our Local Area Managers are responsible for building and maintaining our client’s personalised care plans and risk assessments. This starts with an initial meeting with you as a potential client, as well as your family. We want to get to know you and understand your needs, wishes, and concerns. We can then work with you to create a care plan that best supports you and what you want.
Another key responsibility of the Local Area Manager is helping our carers. Care is tough work, and our carers need people to talk to, who will listen and give sensible advice.
Our advanced training sets us apart
Our Local Area Managers are expertly trained. Having completed our full carer induction training, they hold an additional EDGE People Handling and Risk Assessment Key Trainers Certificate.
This exemplary Advanced Level 4 training is quality-assured by RoSPA Qualifications and is a Royal College of Occupational Therapists (ROCT) Approved Learning Award.
Our Local Area Managers are not only able to demonstrate outstanding knowledge and practical skills in risk assessment and moving and handling of adults in a care setting, they are also trained to convey manual handling knowledge and skills to others. This means that if you or your carer needs advice, we have people in your area who can come and help you.
Throughout your care journey with Christies Care, your Local Area Manager will be there as a friendly representative. Wherever you are in the country, you can have peace of mind that there is always someone with whom you can have a face-to-face meeting and who will be able to make things better.

I found empowering individuals to live as independently as possible and engaging them in meaningful activities, immensely rewarding. This also provided me with the valuable experience of working in partnership with many different professionals who are involved in someone’s care.
