Your dedicated point of contact in your Christies Care journey

We are combining the former Bookings and Carer Support Teams to bring more effective management and support the entire care package in a single team.

The new Care Management Team provides seamless support to each care package from carer to client, reducing the need to talk to more than one contact in many cases.

From our client’s introduction to Christies Care to a dedicated point of contact who manages a client’s care journey, we provide a united, cohesive team that supports the entire care package across our clients, their family members and our carers.

From day to day queries to emergencies, each team member is trained and relied upon to respond in a fast and efficient manner and always with our mantra of ‘person-centred care.’ This ethos continues into the support of our carers and we have invested in two dedicated Wellbeing Officers to focus entirely on our carers’ needs.

In addition, we have boosted each Care Management Team with extra staff including two new Logistics Coordinators working within the team to finely tune the client/carer balance, ensuring that our clients have their rota of regular carers available within the care package. A role that takes some science in making sure availabilities and expectations are not only planned for, but seamless.

Led by James, Joe, Shaunna and Ebony who share 18 years’ experience between them, the team strive to identify carers that become a regular and comforting presence in our clients’ homes.

Focusing on mobility, companionship and support, as well as our clients’ personal goals, the relationships forged here are an integral part of how we create an ideal care partnership.

Our carers are a vital part of our strength and in 2020 we reached the finals for ‘Great British Care Awards Home Care Worker’  for which we are extremely proud. This is a testimony to our Care Management Team and Carers working together to provide the very best home care for those who need it.

I started with Christies Care in January 2015 in the carer support department. I then moved over to the Care Management Team and I am now a Care Management Team Leader.

“I enjoy my job very much and the variation it brings on a day to day basis. In the past I have been a carer myself so I understand not only the stress and pressures involved, but equally the massive benefits providing care can bring for both our clients and carers.”

Some things I enjoy outside of work include spending time with family and friends, baking and going to Zumba classes.

I started with Christies Care in 2016 as a Care Coordinator. I joined Christies Care as I was looking for a change in direction and wanted to be a part of something meaningful. I knew of Christies through people who worked here and never heard a bad word.

“Christies is more than just a care agency and really do want to make a difference. This shows, as a large part of my role is looking at how we can help our clients get everything they want by remaining at home. This could be anything from making dinner for themselves to having regular outings. I have spent a large amount of time looking into falls prevention and how the smallest of changes and people moving a little bit more, can massively reduce the risk of falls occurring. It is a very satisfying feeling to know we are not just helping but making a change.”

When I am not at work I spend the majority of my time with my wife and two dogs Rodney & Ruby.

I joined Christies Care in January 2014, and now run the Care Management Team alongside my colleagues, Joe, Shaunna, James and Ebony. I joined Christies Care as I very much wanted to work closely with people, and since joining the company have found my role to be most rewarding.

I get a real sense of satisfaction knowing that the help we provide enables our clients to maintain their independence and enjoy living in the familiar surroundings of their own home.”

I joined Christies Care in October 2018, having previously worked as a specialist live-in Nanny working all over the UK.

“My role is to match clients with like-minded carers and ensure they have year-round care. I’ve really enjoyed my time here at Christies so far. I’ve learnt a lot and met a lot of lovely new people – clients, carers and office staff alike.”

When I’m not at work, I’m a busy mum to a 5 year old wild-child. But if you ask her, I’m the pink power ranger!

“I have been with Christies Care since 2004. What I like most about my job is the diversity of people I work with and helping to make a difference in a person’s life.”

Family time is extremely important to me and I enjoy spending time with my two young children. We love being “out and about” and like to travel and visit different places.

I joined Christies Care in April 2016. I started off in the Carer Support Team, moving over to the Care Management Team in 2018. Before joining Christies I worked as a carer. I spent time working with an hourly care agency and then moving on to working in a dementia care home. I returned from maternity leave after having my little boy in April 2020. I am enjoying being back at work and getting to know my clients and their families and building relationships with them. When I am not at work I am usually chasing after my one year old and spending quality time with my family and two dogs.

“In June 2018 I started working in the bookings team in Topaz and I absolutely love this job. I love supporting both the client/family and the carers and making a difference if I can.”

In my spare time I enjoy socialising and spending time with my family.

I joined Christies in September 2020. I really enjoy working in a friendly team and making a difference for our clients.

I have previously worked in customer service and management running both large and small businesses. In my spare time I enjoy the outdoors on my bicycle or walking, watching movies, listening and collecting vinyl, particularly soundtracks and I also enjoy making adult themed Lego such as buildings and movie sets.

Wellbeing Advisor

I’m really excited about the new Wellbeing Team: We will be there to help carers through their first 12 weeks along with the carer management team but also be there to offer extra support should carers be feeling overwhelmed. Myself and Lis will be there to give carers more support than the day to day queries regarding their clients.

We know carers are a long way from home and want to ensure they know there is someone there for them to talk about their emotions.

Away from work, I like performing stand up comedy and have recently performed in London and Brighton, my dog Charlie, theatre, travelling, music, dancing and netball.

I’ve been with Christies for 15 years. Helping and supporting carers has always been my passion and knowing what a difference a carer can make to a client’s life, I hope to make a difference where I can to a carer.

I joined Christies in October 2015, following my relocation to Suffolk from Kent. My role is to provide admin support to the Care Management Team, giving them the chance to concentrate on giving our clients carers first class support, while I deal with all the necessary bits of nitty gritty you find in any well-run office. I love being part of such a friendly and enthusiastic team.

I joined Christies Care in July 2018 as an Apprentice Compliance Administrator. My role is to make sure every application is up to date and to keep in touch with the applicants. I love chatting with the applicants and helping them towards the next level of becoming a carer with us.

Logistics Coordinator

I have been with Christies for the last 4 years within Carer Support and I am looking forward to my new role within the Logistics Team.

The Logistics Team are here to help and will be able to help manage carers between clients. We will be dealing mainly with Carer availability which is so important in supporting the Care Management Team to get the right booking balance.

We will also be able to answer any general queries you may have and keep records up to date.

I enjoy reading and always have a book on the go but my 6 year old daughter keeps me busy. We did keep ourselves busy with painting stones during the last lockdown and then taking our dog Harry out to put them out for other people to find.

I am so looking forward stepping into my new role alongside Victoria and hopefully being a friendly voice at the other end of the phone. The job our carers do is amazing and it’s always important that a carer has somewhere to turn at times. Never be afraid to call or email us so we can help carry the stress.

In my spare time I enjoy my family, especially my grandchildren, walking, reading, studying, 70’s music, good food and life.

I have been with Christies for just over 2 years and could not imagine working anywhere else.
