Meet our New Client Team

Friendly, caring and understanding

The New Client team is led by Emily Smith.

Our New Client team strives to provide person-centred care, making sure every consideration has been made to deliver safe and efficient live-in care and hourly care for you. The team is trained to listen, provide information about Christies Care and take steps to set up a live-in care package that is tailored exactly to your needs.

We always ask for your feedback on our carers, as having the right carers makes all the difference to your wellbeing and happiness. We work very hard to take into account your personal interests and preferences before matching you with a carer whose company you will enjoy and be reassured by. In fact, 74% of clients insist that the first carer we introduce them to is assigned to their regular rota of familiar and friendly carers.

Emily Smith

Head of New Client Team

I have worked for Christies Care since 2006. I enjoy the fact that in my role I’m always meeting and speaking with new people and no day is the same.

“As the New Client Team Leader, I am proud of the service that my team strives to offer our New Clients. I am lucky to work with such a passionate and driven team.”

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with family and friends, especially my two beautiful nieces. I attend yoga classes and volunteer my time to the local Brownie unit and Dance School.

Sam Deare

Supervisor of New Client Team and Local Area Advisors

I have worked for Christies since 2015, first within the carer support team and then moving on to working with the New client team.

“My role at Christies is a great challenge and constantly rewarding”

Previously, I worked within the care sector as a support worker to clients with physical disabilities, dementia and learning disabilities.

Shaunna Barber

Supervisor of New Client Team, Local Area Advisors and Contracts

I started with Christies Care in January 2015 in the carer support department. I then moved over to the Care Management Team and I am now a Care Management Team Leader.

“I enjoy my job very much and the variation it brings on a day to day basis. In the past I have been a carer myself so I understand not only the stress and pressures involved, but equally the massive benefits providing care can bring for both our clients and carers.”

Some things I enjoy outside of work include spending time with family and friends, baking and going to Zumba classes.
