Hourly Visiting Care

  • Suitable for anyone needing smaller amounts of support, ourcarers will visit you in your home when you need us, day or night.
  • Hourly care is available for as little as 1 hour a week from 6am to 10pm.
  • Carers assist with personal care, medication and mobility needs,shopping, home help, companionship, and more.

Live-in Care

  • 24/7 in-home support including: personal care, daily tasks, and companionship all in the comfort of your own home.

Meet our Registered Manager, Gary Hedgecock, an expert in Jersey Care

I’ve lived in Jersey for 22 years, and for the past 15, I’ve dedicated myself to the care sector.

Since 2008 I’ve gained experience across various areas, including care homes, home care, respite services, and support for people with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, and older adults.

I’ve been deeply involved in ensuring that care practices align with the Regulation of Care (Jersey) Law 2014 and the associated Standards, working closely with organisations across Jersey to consistently maintain the highest levels of care.

I’m passionate about supporting people’s independence through person-centred care and ensuring that carers receive top-quality training. To me, it’s crucial that the views and needs of our clients, along with outstanding service, are at the core of everything we do.

Yes, all Christies Carers attend our industry-leading, 10-day, comprehensive training course, which covers Dementia, MS, Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, after-stroke, end-of-life, learning disability, and physical injury care.
The two most common methods of funding your care are self funded and government funding through the long-term care scheme. Self-funded is where you or family are responsible for your care fees. Yes, Christies Care provides expert short term respite care in Jersey. Whether your family or carer needs a break, is ill, or goes on holiday, we can step in and continue your care as you wish. If something comes up urgently, we can start within the week.
Live-in home care is when a carer comes to live with you to provide personalised one on one 24/7 care in your home. Live-in care helps you avoid the distress of moving into residential care and enables you to continue living independently in the comfort and familiar surroundings of your own home, enjoying your same routines, friends, neighbours, and pets. A care home, or residential care is when you move into a care facility that provides 24/7 care. This is often a permanent move.
